Ma Baker. Boney M
Katherine “Ma” Baker (1873-1935) fue una criminal estadounidense de leyenda, carne de prensa como lo fueron John Dillinger o aquellos jovenzuelos enamoradizos conocidos como Bonnie y Clyde. Casada con George Baker, tuvieron 4 hijos que formaron la banda de los Baker-Karpis, autora de varios robos, secuestros y otros crímenes en la primera mitad de la década de los treinta.
Nunca se llegó a saber si Ma Baker conocía las actividades de la banda, si era su cómplice o su líder en la sombra. Pero sí se sabe que sirvió de inspiración a James Hadley Chase para su novela No Orchids for Miss Blandish, que en la serie Batman de 1966 apareció un personaje llamado Ma Parker y que Boney M le dedicaron una canción en 1977.
